Biography
Daniel Leahy is currently working as a Senior Software Developer with the TRIL Centre, based in UCD. He is working on the TRIL Centre Technology Platform whose main goals are to create a set of software tools which can be used by everyone from the development engineer to the clinician and to develop re-usable software components that can be applied to problems in each of the strands.
Daniel is a first class (honors) computer engineering graduate (BEng) of the University of Limerick, where he has also received a Masters degree (MEng) in Biomedical Engineering. He also holds a NCEA Diploma in Electronic Engineering from the Limerick Institute of Technology.
He joined the TRIL Centre from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) where he has worked for 2 years and previously 5 Years in Analog Devices in Limerick. In TCS, he worked for international clients (Microsoft and AIG) in enterprise application development and user acceptance testing roles in varying locations from Hyderabad to Chennai to Dublin.
His Masters work included the development of a bespoke programmable functional electrical stimulator for biomedical purposes as part of the Research Innovation Fund (RIF) sponsored by Enterprise Ireland.
