TRIL Expo 2009 showcases latest research

A very successful TRIL Expo 2009 took place on Thursday, 26 February 2009 at the Science Gallery in Trinity College Dublin.

At the Expo, TRIL researchers showcased progress on the TRIL Programme over the last two years from the Centre's core areas of Ethnography, Falls Prevention, Cognitive Function, Social Connection and Technology Platform. Over 60 TRIL Researchers showcased 30 research initiatives at the event including demos and prototypes.

The 200 strong audience, who included industry, government, academia and older people who took part in TRIL Home Deployments. The invited guest speakers included Barry O'Leary, CEO of IDA (Industrial Development Agency, Ireland); Gordon Graylish, Vice President Sales and Marketing Group, EMEA, Intel; and Professor Paddy Cunningham, Chief Science Advisor to the government.
